Forage & Fire: A Taste on the Seashore- September 30th, 2018

Experience our food, culture and people.

We will begin our day with a  beach stroll identifying the bounty of  wild edibles then sit on the oceans edge and enjoy several courses of heritage foods around an open fire; sharing traditions about the food culture of our place.

Depending on the time of year, you can look forward to sampling Labrador arctic char, moose, mussels, cod or smoked mackerel. Always accompanied by traditional bread, buns and local berry preserves.

This is one of  Newfoundland and Labrador’s most treasured traditions: The Boil-Up. It simply means a spot of lunch and a cuppa tea boiled up over a fire. Help us in any way that you want, walk about, take plenty of pictures, or sit and relax.

We'll get the fire going, and cook up a taste of wild Newfoundland and Labrador.
